Norbert J. Germ

Of Wilkins Twp., age 85, died on Monday, April 22, 2024.

Norb was the beloved husband of the late Catherine S. (Sciullo) Germ for 52 years.

He was the beloved father of John (Linda) Germ of Gibsonia, Gregory (Stephanie) Germ of GA, Lisa Germ of Swissvale and Kevin Germ of FL.

Norb was proud of his 5 grandchildren: Ally Germ; Peter Germ; Adam, Corinne and Owen Germ.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Bernard (late Patricia) Germ.

Norb was a 1956 graduate of North Braddock Scott High School and a peacetime U.S. Army veteran. After his Military Service, Norb became employed for his entire 40+ year career as a telephone systems installer with Bell Telephone. In raising his children, Norb could be found coaching T-Ball games and volunteering with the Cub Scouts. He was a sports fan and especially a Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Norb was a Steeler season ticket holder for over 60 years as he cheered for his team at Forbes Field, Pitt Stadium, Three Rivers Stadium and Heinz Field.

He also enjoyed cruise vacations with his beloved Catherine, rounds of golf with his group from work and socializing with his friends at the Wilkins Elks Lodge #577 and East Pittsburgh V.F.W. #5008.

Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. John Fisher Church (St. Joseph the Worker Parish) on Monday at 10 a.m.

Norb will be laid to rest with Military Honors in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
