Of Forest Hills, age 80, on Tuesday, June 18, 2013.

Beloved husband of Aspasia “Pat” (Halvatzis) Papakostos for 59 years.

Loving father of Melanie (Theodore) Kreatsoulos of Long Island, N.Y. and Genevieve Bardis (surviving spouse, Nico of Forest Hills).

Dear grandfather of George, Evie, Dimitri and Vasili Kreatsoulos; Elias and Maria Bardis.

He was preceded in death by his brother Nick Papakostos and sisters Thelma Smales and Toula Lavda.

Taki was a retired commercial painter and a member of Painters Union, Local District #57. He was a long-time and outspoken member of Ypapanti and a Past President of the church council. Taki was an original member of Y.A.S.O.U. and he was an avid collector of miniature antique cars.

Friends welcome Thursday 2-4 & 6-8pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home 700 Linden Ave., East Pittsburgh (412-824-8800) where a Trisagion will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

Funeral Service in the Presentation of Christ Greek Orthodox Church (Ypapanti) on Friday at 11 a.m.

Additional viewing in Church one hour prior to service.

Burial will follow at Monongahela Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Ypapanti, P.O. Box J, East Pittsburgh, Pa. 15112.
